I would like to invite all members
of the ACCCA to recruit new members for the ACCCA. It is not so much what the
ACCCA can do for you but rather with your help and support what you can do for
the ACCCA. We are the official catholic voice in corrections under the USCCB
and offer certification correctional chaplain under the USCCB certification
offices. In the last two years, the American Correctional Chaplains Association
(ACCA) increased their membership by 70% just by recruiting the volunteers who
work with the Chaplains in the correctional settings. The challenge is there.
Also, would encourage as many as possible to attend the 2008 ACCCA Summer
Conference August 6 - 9 in New Orleans. Our theme is: Compassion with
Passion. The fees are around $300.00 to $350.00 including room and board.
Detailed information will be posted on the website as it is available from the
planning committee.
